Jun is my Korean birth name. Poekert is my adopted name. I go by “Jun” now to honor my heritage and identity as a Korean American.
I went to the University of Central Florida and graduated with a degree in Marketing and completed an advanced graduate program at Northwestern University in Data Analytics and Consumer Insights. I have never represented to be an economist. I am a data analyst at heart and both my practice and my social media presence reflects this.
I started posting on social media about politics the day after the 2024 general election as an act of frustration. That video got 3.4million views and was featured on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News and various podcasts. After that I kept posting and grew to where I am today. In my personal content, I attempt to break down complexities within economic policy and educate Americans on media literacy. An informed voter is a better voter.
As a marketing professional I have been recognized as a 2023 AdAge Trailblazer, have won multiple Digiday, DRUM and Webby Awards and have spoken at Brand Innovators, Building Brand Advoacy, Bridge Summit, Social Media Week and have been featured in Forbes, Fortune, Business Insider, AdAge, Digiday and the Wall Street Journal.
I am 42 years old, married to my wonderful husband, Samuel, and live in Brooklyn, NY.
